The Boxster S is a unique and dynamic interpretation of the Boxster idea, and the embodiment of our commitment to sports car engineering. The powerful 3.2-litre engine offers even higher levels of performance than the standard Boxster engine, developing 185 kW (252 bhp) at 6,250 rpm, and a full 305 Nm of torque from 4,500 rpm. Transferring that power to the road is the job of the standard six-speed manual gearbox, specially developed for easier gearshifts and greater precision. Top speed in manual configuration is 260 km/h. 0 to 100 km/h is an astonishing 5.9 seconds, while 100 to 0 takes just 2.7. The chassis on the Boxster S has been carefully modified to match the car's enhanced performance and provide an even more dynamic ride. The braking system features four-piston monobloc fixed calipers and internally vented and cross-drilled discs offering immediate and effortless response. A special cooling system increases the durability of the brakes, even under the heaviest use. The Boxster S is equally uncompromising when it comes to safety and specification. Standard equipment includes the Porsche Side Impact Protection system (POSIP) with side airbags, an alarm system with interior surveillance, and a key remote that can also be used to open both luggage compartments. Naturally, the Boxster S can be equipped with the optional Porsche Stability Management system (PSM). As on the Boxster, the hood on the Boxster S requires just 12 seconds to open or close. The standard interior has also been upgraded, both in terms of styling and feel. Standard features include an aluminium-look finish on selected interior components, as well as the Boxster S logo on the door entry guards and centre console.
